  • Go to JARTU twice daily to check on catfish
  • Monitor catfish for columnaris infection and treat tanks if necessary
  • Purchase remaining supplies for catfish experiment from Kroger and Lowes
  • Make contaminant-spiked food for catfish experiment
  • Develop tissue sampling procedure for catfish experiment (amount of tissue per sample, determine if pooling tissues is necessary)
  • Give powerpoint presentation of experimental design for catfish study in Dr. Wilhelm’s lab meeting on Wednesday
  • Write abstract for manuscript
  • Continue revising methods section of manuscript

Mon – setup spawning tanks; water change
Tues – collect embryos (saving for own experiment & microinjection); water quality test; lab cleanup
Wed – setup spawning tanks; water change; lab cleanup
Thurs – collect embryos (saving for Ted’s experiment & microinjection); lab cleanup
Fri – start PH#8 with larvae from Tues’s spawning..exp will end next Tues
Sat & Sun – continuing PH#8; maintaining colony
